    • What if I don’t have a judgment?
Whether you have a judgment or not, Landlord Collections can help you collect your debt. If the tenant is still in possession, we can assist with the eviction and then obtain a judgment for monetary damages. After the judgment is entered, we can pursue post-judgment collection efforts.
    • Do you always report to the credit bureau?
No. Some clients do not want us to report to the national credit bureaus. It’s up to you.
    • How much information do I need to submit?
You don’t need much information for us start working on your past due accounts. Typically, landlords and property managers provide us with the rental agreement, which contains a lot of important information.
    • How long does a collection take?
Collection results are purely driven by the facts of each case. For example, the age of the debt, status (e.g., skip trace) and other factors all affect the time needed for recovery. Other factors include the debtor’s financial status and disputes.
    • Is it too hard to collect on an old judgment?
No, and in fact, it may be easier at times. Often when a judgment is old, the debtor has had more time to collect assets, and may be hoping that the debt has been forgotten or wiped off the books. In most states, assets they’ve obtained can be repossessed. If they had financial problems at the time of the judgment, it’s often the case that they’ve repaired their issues years later.
    • How many years does a collection stay on a credit report?
A collection account can stay on a credit report for up to seven years from the original date of delinquency.
    • What states does your collection service cover?
We are licensed and registered to collect debt in every state and have network offices worldwide.
    • What will your debt recovery cost me?
With contingency fee collections, there are no upfront fees or costs. With flat-fee collections, you can register for free and pay only a small fee for each account you place with us for collection. In the case of evictions, we charge competitive flat-fee rates. If an account remains unresolved and rolls over to collections, then our contingency fees will apply.
